One person has been confirmed dead and two others injured in a lone crash along the Sagamu–Ikorodu Highway in Ogun State.
The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) spokesperson, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said the accident happened around 7:00 a.m. on Sunday at Arigbabu, Mosimi, in Sagamu Local Government Area.
Akinbiyi explained that the crash involved a white Mazda mini truck with no registration number. According to him, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a culvert, resulting in his death, while two male passengers sustained injuries.
He noted that the deceased driver was taken away by his family before emergency responders arrived. The injured victims were also taken home by relatives for treatment.
TRACE personnel and officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) later cleared the scene and removed the wrecked vehicle.

Akinbiyi advised motorists to avoid driving while tired, stressing that fatigue can be as dangerous as drunk driving.
The incident follows another fatal road crash in Lagos on Saturday, which claimed the lives of three students and left seven others injured.
