The Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS), 94/99 set of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, in collaboration with After God’s Heart Incorporated (AGH), will inaugurate a multi-million-naira mini library in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State on December 11.
The project is part of the set’s reunion legacy initiative themed #30YearsOfFriendshipAndTogetherness. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo, Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, is expected to serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the event.
According to AMACOS 94/99 President, Mr. Adenekan Moruff, the library is the set’s contribution to advancing education in Ogun State. “The mini-community library is a student-friendly learning centre, equipped with reading desks, shelves, study materials, reference books, and other essential educational tools,” he said.
Moruff added that the facility aims to bridge learning gaps, encourage a reading culture, and provide students with a safe, conducive environment for academic development. He expressed gratitude to AGH and the local government for their support.
“We are deeply thankful to After God’s Heart Incorporated for funding a significant part of this life-changing project and to Abeokuta North Local Government for providing the space. This partnership highlights the power of collaboration and our shared commitment to giving back to the community that shaped us,” Moruff said.
Dr. D. Olawale, Chairman of AGH, emphasized that the mini library reflects a shared dedication to youth empowerment and academic excellence. “The library will provide students with access to quality learning materials, especially as they prepare for key examinations such as WAEC and JAMB. Collaborating with AMACOS 94/99, a group of professionals committed to community growth, has been inspiring,” he noted.
Lolade Akokhia, Chairman of the Reunion Planning Committee, outlined additional activities planned for the reunion. These include a courtesy visit to the Mass Communication Department of MAPOLY for the inauguration of an advertising studio and an Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria accreditation project, a joint gift presentation to non-academic staff, a visit to the Rector of MAPOLY, a Jumat service, a visit to Abeokuta Correctional Centre, and the mini library inauguration.

Other events include a “Reconnect & Refresh” evening, a FunFest at Olumo Rock, the Reunion Launch and Adire Rendezvous featuring a red carpet reception, awards ceremony, and swearing-in of new executives. The three-day programme will conclude with a thanksgiving service.
“The reunion is designed to strengthen professional bonds, reconnect old classmates, and reinforce AMACOS 94/99’s commitment to community development and educational advancement,” Akokhia added.
