K1 De Ultimate Reunites With Son Malik After Years of Public Tension
It was an emotional moment on Thursday as Fuji legend Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, finally reconnected with Malik, his son with actress Bisola Badmus.
Trending videos from the event show K1 embracing the boy on stage during a performance, smiling warmly as he sang his praises. Malik, dressed in an all-white outfit, appeared shy at first, but his expression softened when K1 leaned in to whisper to him — a gesture that sealed their long-awaited reunion.
A Reconnection After Years of Public Disputes
The reunion comes after years of public appeals and online exchanges. Badmus had repeatedly urged K1 to take responsibility for their son, accusing him of neglect in interviews and social media posts.
Last year, in a conversation with actress Biola Adebayo, Badmus said:
“Initially, I didn’t tell my baby daddy (K1) about my sickness (brain tumour), but he later got to know. He tried for a while, but he is not responding to me anymore. All I want him to do is take care of the responsibilities of our son, Malik. I have been trying to cope, but it’s not easy.”
Back in 2022, during Malik’s 10th birthday, she also referred to K1 as a “deadbeat father,” saying she had been forced to play both parental roles.
Mixed Reactions Trail Video of the Reunion
While many viewers celebrated the moment, social media reactions were sharply divided.
Instagram user Carphy Flinks wrote, “I like as the boy no smile.”
Another user, Kirabeautystore, said, “I don’t know why I’m teary. This woman really went through a lot. It’s really a man’s world after all.”
Some observers, however, criticised the public setting.
Badgirlcy commented, “Deadbeat final boss. Na for party he dey meet pikin.”
Caramel Millinery added, “I don’t know why this video has been annoying me since morning. Una just dey embarrass the boy. Even if he wants to accept and acknowledge the boy, na for party?”
Teniola Ajanaku questioned the praise the video was receiving: “I don’t understand why some of you are saying this is beautiful… what is beautiful here?”
Despite the mixed reactions, the moment marked a public step toward reconciliation between the Fuji icon, his son, and the boy’s mother.
