Members of the So-Safe Corps in Ogun State have captured an individual allegedly causing terror in the Ala community of the Odogbolu Local Government Area. The suspect, identified as Daniel Iwalokun, a native of Ilaje in Ondo State, was apprehended with a fake pistol, as confirmed by Moruf Yusuf, the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, on Monday.
According to Yusuf, the Ijebu Zonal Operation team of the Corps arrested Daniel Iwalokun, who had been instilling fear in the people of Ala by employing a toy gun for his criminal activities.
“The suspect had been instilling fear in the people, causing unrest in the said Ala community and using the fake pistol to achieve his criminal aims,” Moruf stated.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect operated alone with the toy gun. Moruf added that the apprehended individual, along with the confiscated fake pistol, has been transferred to the Obalende Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation and potential prosecution, following the directive of the Corps Commander, Soji Ganzallo.
This incident follows a previous arrest by the So-Safe Corps, as reported earlier, involving one Kabiru Adedotun, a suspected notorious Eye Confraternity cultist. Adedotun was apprehended while carrying a cut-to-size pistol, and both the suspect and the seized exhibit were transferred to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and likely prosecution.
