Here is the list of people nominated for the position of Awujale of Ijebuland. The nominees include many princes and princesses from the royal families.

In addition to the names on the list, five more candidates were nominated at the venue, bringing the total number of nominees to 95.
Meanwhile, Otunba Abdul Lateef Owoyemi, a leader of the Fusengbuwa ruling house and former President of ICAN, said that anyone who is unhappy with the selection process should take their complaints to the government. He assured the public that the kingmakers will not make any mistakes in choosing the next Awujale.
Owoyemi spoke on Monday after the nomination process was completed in Ijebu-Ode. He said that Ijebuland will have a new Awujale within one month.
According to him, after all the names have been properly reviewed, the kingmakers will select the best candidates and send their names to the government for approval.
He explained that people who are unhappy with the process have 19 days to submit complaints. He also said that 86 princes and princesses were peacefully and successfully nominated by the Fusengbuwa ruling house.
Owoyemi added that the ruling house had carried out traditional consultations and oracle checks to guide the process. He expressed confidence that the kingmakers would choose the person approved by God and blessed by their ancestors.
