Oluseyi Babaseyi, the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer (DPPRO) of the Lagos State Police Command, has been appointed as the new spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, replacing CSP Omolola Odutola.
According to information gathered by The Guardian, Odutola has been redeployed to Lagos in a role that has not yet been announced.
Babaseyi, who was recently called to the Nigerian Bar, is a trained communications professional and has taken part in joint security operations under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK).
He earned praise during his brief tenure as acting PPRO in Lagos following Benjamin Hundeyin’s appointment as Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) in September 2025. Journalists and members of the public described him as efficient, thorough, and readily accessible for information and updates.
