“Three police officers serving with Ogun State Police Command” are set to undergo an “orderly room trial” due to alleged “professional misconduct.”
The officers, identified as Inspectors Ikhanorba Lucky, Paul Sunday, and Edwin Ekeogu, were found engaging in professional misconduct while carrying out visibility policing duties at Maawu Bus stop in the Agbado area of the state.

The command’s spokesperson, Superintendent of Police (SP) Omolola Odutola, confirmed these developments in a statement, and stated that the officers were caught on camera extorting money from commercial motorcyclists, which is a violation of the Police Act and Regulations.

Odutola also noted that the inappropriate actions of these three policemen had been shared on social media.
The Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, has condemned their unprofessional behavior. To address this misconduct, the Command has initiated appropriate disciplinary measures against these officers. This action is intended to ensure that they are held accountable for their actions and to deter others from engaging in such dishonorable conduct.

SP Odutola added, “The CP has for the umpteenth time emphasized the commitment of the police high hierarchy to upholding professional standards within the NPF, sustaining quality service delivery to the citizens, and maintaining public trust and confidence in the Nigeria Police Force.”
