Two teenage Nigerian brothers have proven that they hold wisdom far beyond their years. At 13 and 15 years old, Anesi and Osine Ikhianosime have created a faster mobile web browsing experience that rivals bigger browser such as Google Chrome.
The hail from Lagos, these brothers pinpointed a common problem. Although browsers like Google Chrome work on high-end smart phones, these applications often slow down on low-end phones commonly found in the developing world. Using their love for coding and technology, the dynamic duo created an Android app named Crocodile Browser Lite.
The browser is already beign downloaded in the Google Play store and it as been downloaded a total 5000 times by users as the time of filling this report, the application has also garnered rave reviews with a 4.7 out of 5 star rating.
“This is the best mobile Web browser I have ever used in my life. The user interface is excellent and it is so easy to open and close different tabs,” said David Rhodes, a reviewer and user of the popular app.
As self-taught problem solvers, the pair used educational websites such as Code Academy, Code Avenger as well as popular tech guides to create the app. Yet, this love of coding began far before Crocodile’s success.
Anesi and Osine set their sights on creating their own technology company during their pre-teen years. With a popular app on the market, the Ikhianosime brothers now hope to further expand their budding technology company, Blu Doors, inspired by the Microsoft Windows platform.
These brothers also wish to attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology to gain access to more educational resources in the tech realm.
