The Ogun State Police Command has started investigating the death of a 22-year-old singer, Adesina Afeez, also known as Destiny Boy.
This was made known in a statement released in Abeokuta by the police spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi.
He said the case has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCIDhttps://scidlagos.ng/), Homicide Section, for a full investigation. The police also confirmed that one suspect has been arrested and is currently being held while investigations continue.
According to the police, Destiny Boy’s death became known on Sunday, but the exact cause of his death is still not clear.
Destiny Boy was a fast-rising Nigerian Fuji-pop singer and songwriter. He was known for mixing hip-hop with traditional Fuji music. The Agege, Lagos-born artist was popular for his lively performances and creative song covers, and many saw him as one of Nigeria’s promising young music talents.
