The Ogun State Government has once again flung its door open by inviting global investors to explore the State’s vast investment opportunities, declaring that a more business-friendly environment has been created through strategic infrastructure development and policy reforms that have made it Nigeria’s most attractive investment destinations.

Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Adebola Sofela, made the call in Abeokuta during the Asian-African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (AACCI) Nigeria Trade Mission and Africa Walk 2026, themed “Bridging Africa and Asia through Investment, Culture, Trade and Innovation.”

Sofela, said the Prince Dapo Abiodun administration had deliberately positioned Ogun as a preferred destination for local and foreign investments by providing critical infrastructure, remover of bureaucratic bottlenecks and implementation of reforms that supported enterprise growth.

He said the State had offers in investment opportunities across manufacturing, logistics, agribusiness, mining, pharmaceuticals, technology, renewable energy, infrastructure, tourism and industrial partnerships, assuring investors of a transparent and supportive business environment.

The Commissioner noted that the administration had institutionalised reforms, maintained policy consistency and strengthened investors’ confidence, all of which were factors that had contributed to Ogun’s ranking among Nigeria’s top three States on the Ease of Doing Business index.

“I make this promise to every investor and development partner present that our doors are open likewise our institutions are ready. Our policies are improving, just as ur people are prepared. Our industries are expanding, our infrastructure is growing, our ambitions are bold and our commitment is unwavering.

“Whether your interest lies in manufacturing, logistics, pharmaceuticals, agribusiness, mining, technology, renewable energy, infrastructure, tourism or industrial partnerships, Ogun State offers a welcoming environment in which your enterprise can thrive,” he said.

Sofela added, “If you choose Ogun State, you will find a government that listens, responds and honours legitimate commitments. We value investors not merely as sources of revenue but as partners in development, innovation, job creation and industrialisation. Ogun State is investment-ready and open for business.”

The Commissioner identified the Kajola Inland Dry Port as one of the State’s flagship investment opportunities, saying the project would provide an alternative cargo hub to the congested Apapa and Tin Can Island ports, reduce logistics costs, strengthen supply chains for manufacturers and boost exports.

He also highlighted the proposed extension of rail lines from Okokomaiko in Lagos to Agbara and from Abule Egba to Ijoko, as strategic infrastructure projects capable of enhancing connectivity and accelerating industrial development across the State.

Earlier, Founder, Asian-African Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Gobind Singh, said the organisation was established to deepen strategic partnerships between Asia and Africa, urging both continents to embrace collaboration instead of competition.

He said vibrant Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as well as Small and Medium Enterprises remained the backbone of every successful economy because of their contributions to employment generation, poverty reduction and economic development.
