The Ogun State Police Command announced on Friday that it had apprehended two suspected cult members who were in the process of causing disruption in the Fadahunsi area of Agbado in the state.
According to the Police Spokesperson for the state, SP Omolola Odutola, the arrests were made on September 4 following a tip-off regarding cultist activities in the Agbado region. The swift response of the police effectively quelled the disturbance initiated by the cultists, resulting in the apprehension of two individuals at the scene.

Both suspects have confessed to being affiliated with the Eiye confraternity, providing valuable information that will assist the police in capturing other fugitive individuals connected to cult-related activities. They have also shared details about the broader syndicate, including the location of their weapons supplier and the whereabouts of weapons possibly used in their criminal endeavors.
Currently, preliminary investigations are being conducted at the Divisional Police Office. The suspects will soon be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a more discreet and comprehensive inquiry into their involvement with the Eiye confraternity and related criminal activities.
