NALDA Executive Secretary Prince Paul Icone, who had this to say during a polite visit to Governor Dr. Ogun Dapo Abiodun, revealed, said the cassava packaging factory would complement an integrated agricultural area that would be built in three zones of the state Senate.
He added that the farming will consist of various agricultural activities, including farming, processing and packaging, commodity markets, residential areas and schools.
He said President Mohammadu Bukhari directed them to create jobs and achieve food security, where they are running projects in various states, and that the state of Ogun should be one of the pilot countries.
“NALDA Integrated Farming will be on display in the three Zones of the state Senate. Integrated Farming is a concept that encompasses everything from production to processing to packaging and marketing. Later there will also be residential areas for farmers, ”said Ikonne. “Your Excellency NALDA will ask you to provide suitable land for this project and once the land is available NALDA will start work.”
Ikonne noted that NALDA oversees the country’s Gaari processing plant, which is the country’s largest producer of cassava, and reassured the governor of a plan to get the product in packs to encourage farmers to produce more because he knew a bounty was coming.
In addition, ES has announced plans to provide two weeks of intensive training in soil testing techniques and extension services to selected 200 US agricultural graduates. NALDA will provide you with income-generating soil testing kits and soil sampling equipment.
Governor Ogun, Dr. Dapo Abiodun, praised NALDA for choosing his country as one of the pilot countries for integrated agricultural properties. A gesture he said would further complement the peasant state’s push to create jobs for the country’s youth.
Abiodun said his country decided to include the Buchari agricultural business because the country needed an industrial center and state raw materials to support the industry.
