The Bukhari-led government is not directly responsible for the country’s insecurity, said Senator Kebi Bala Na’Ala.

Legislators made the remarks shortly after meeting President Mohammadu Bukhari at the presidential villa on Sunday.
He told reporters that he made “regular visits” to the president to discuss a number of issues of national concern.
His visit to the president comes days after the Senate held a four-hour session with security officials to discuss insecurity in Nigeria.
It is also weeks after the Senate decided to send its leadership to a meeting with the president to find ways to reduce the security challenges that the state hates.
Mr Na’Allah did not say whether the session was on behalf of the Senate.
All he said was that he had open discussions with the president and reassured Nigerians of the government’s commitment to security.
When asked about the reasons for the increasing cases of bandits across the country, despite government efforts and investments in fighting insecurity, the lawmaker said that according to the structure, society thrives on its own problems.
“Let me give an example. Boko Haram is mostly located in the northeast, that’s a fact. Banditry is in the northwest; it can’t be said to be wrong. This is a problem that exposes past injustices that we ourselves have experienced.” cause it individually.
