The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) on Thursday reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) for the second time in less than a week.
A DAILY POST correspondent who monitored NNPCL retail outlets in Abuja confirmed that the state-owned oil company has adjusted the price from N930 to N920 per litre, reflecting a N10 reduction.
The new price was already in effect at NNPCL filling stations in Gwarimpa, Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse Zone 4 as of Thursday.
This development comes just days after NNPCL first reduced petrol prices on November 28, 2025, by N15 per litre.
Speaking with DAILY POST, the spokesperson for the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Chinedu Ukadike, noted that petrol prices are likely to continue dropping as competition intensifies among major players in the country’s downstream oil sector.
