In a dazzling celebration of culture, color, and royal tradition, Prince Adewale Oriola Adeyemi, an Ijebu prince and lawyer, married Princess Temilade Remi Adeoye in a grand ceremony that honored centuries of Ijebuland’s noble legacy.
The seven-hour event took place at the C in Oniru, Lekki, drawing royalty, business leaders, high chiefs, and dignitaries from across Nigeria and abroad. Guests witnessed the union of two historic lineages—the Adeyemi and Adeoye royal families—each deeply rooted in Ijebu identity and pride.
Known for their strong sense of heritage and honor, the Ijebu people filled the venue with traditional music, vibrant attire, and heartfelt blessings, creating an atmosphere of dignity and joy.
Prince Adewale is the grandson of the late Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Ijebu-Ode , who led the Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Ijebu-Ode from 1988 to 2013. His bride, Princess Temilade, is the daughter of the late Oba Aderemi Adeoye, the first Lamuren of Oke-Lamuren—a monarch celebrated for unity, progress, and cultural preservation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prince Adeleke Adeyemi of the Olufadi Royal Family called the marriage a divine continuation of Ijebu royalty. “This union reflects our deepest values—tradition, honor, and service. It ensures our legacy lives on through the next generation,” he said.
