Otunba Wahab Osinusi, a prominent leader known as the Fidipote of Ijebu Ode, has reportedly passed away at the age of 90.

Hailing from the well-known Osinusi family in Ijebu-Ode, he held the title of Otunba Fidipote of Ijebu and was one of the respected Otunbas in the court of the Awujale of Ijebu, Oba Sikiru Adetona.

He notably served as the Chairman of the Ojude-Oba Festival Committee and played a pivotal role in welcoming guests to this lively and culturally significant event.

Otunba Wahab Osinusi received his primary education at Reverend Kuti Primary School in Abeokuta and continued his secondary education at Abeokuta Grammar School.

A family source has confirmed his passing, stating that he died on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Notably, he had just celebrated his 90th birthday on June 2, 2023.

Following a short tenure at the Nigerian Railway Corporation in Yaba, Lagos, Otunba Wahab Osinusi relocated to London in 1958. During his time in London, he pursued legal studies and successfully completed his legal education, ultimately being called to the Bar in 1962.
