State governor Ogun Dapo Abiodun has been trying to get more passports points to make it easier to collect passports in the state.
Abiodun specifically said the state is entitled to have at least four passport offices in Hilaro, Abeokuta, Sagamu and Ijebu Ode.
Speaking in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, and receiving Plenipotentiary Deputy for Immigration, Doris Braima, in his office, the governor noted that the country has become the fastest growing economy in the country and continues to see an influx of people.
He said, apart from the passport offices in Abeokuta and Sagamu, the state has the right to get additional points at Hilaro and Ijebu Ode.
He said: “Ogun state is entitled to have four passport offices, one in Hilaro, Abeokuta, Sagamu and Ijebu Ode because we are the industrial capital of the country.
Abiodun praised the Superintendent General of the Immigration Service of Nigeria (NIS) for preparing an additional order in Idi-Iroko state.
He also praised Brahma, who will retire on May 5, 2021 after 35 years of good service, for his dedication, ingenuity and hard work.
“I want to thank your controllers for making additional orders. We are very grateful. If I were to describe you, I would describe you as dedicated, focused, inventive, creative, dedicated, hardworking, and most importantly, very professional. . You have shown that you are a worthy ambassador for the Nigerian Immigration Service, “the governor added.
Earlier in the day, Brahma praised the Ogun state government for the support it received as state command controller.
The retired immigration officer describes the people in the state as welcoming and friendly.
He also used the opportunity to warn young officials on duty to stay engaged and committed to their duties.
