Moroccan football star Achraf Hakimi has been named the CAF 2025 African Footballer of the Year after an excellent season for both his club and national team.
The 27-year-old won the award ahead of Egypt’s Mohamed Salah and Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen, confirming his place as one of Africa’s best players.
In other awards, Nigerian and Brighton goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie won the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for the third year in a row. Morocco’s Ghizlaine Chebbak also won the CAF Women’s Player of the Year award.
