In a viral video monitored in Kaduna, President Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) apologized to Nigerians for the financial difficulties resulting from the naira redesign policy implemented by the Federal Government.
The president clarified that the monetary policy was meant to enhance the economy and not to cause any hardships to Nigerians.
Buhari also pleaded with the people of Kaduna to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the forthcoming election, Senator Uba Sani, and all other APC candidates for the state assembly.
In the video, Buhari expressed gratitude to Nigerians for electing him as the president on the platform of the APC and admitted that the naira redesign policy was not intended to cause any harm.
He appealed to the people of Kaduna to support Uba Sani, whom he had worked with in the senate, and he vouched for his competence and ability to perform beyond expectations.
Meanwhile, discussions were ongoing for a possible alliance between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party to unseat the APC government in Kaduna State.
The chairman of the PDP in Kaduna State, Felix Hyet, urged the people to unite and vote for the PDP governorship candidate, Isa Ashiru, to bring about change in the state’s leadership.
