NEMA, National Emergency Management Agency, yesterday, Sunday May 25, confirmed another pipeline vandalism pipeline at the notorious Arepo village in Ogun State.
The incident got to a peak following a gun duel between the pipeline security team and vandals yesterday.
The explosion, according to the South West Zonal Public Relations Officer of the agency, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, “pipeline explosion started this morning. There was exchange of fire between the pipeline security team and vandals yesterday but it got to its peak by midnight.”
Farinloye said, “some policemen are missing and the ruggedness of the terrain is hampering access to the place.”
