Nigerian TikToker and content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has explained why music stars Davido and Peter Okoye were absent from his traditional wedding to fellow content creator Jarvis.
Peller, who recently celebrated his traditional marriage, said he initially wondered why Peter Okoye could not attend the ceremony but later understood that the singer was dealing with personal issues within his family.
“Mr Peter Okoye couldn’t attend my traditional wedding. It was later that I realised it was because of the things going on. But he has promised to be present at my white wedding,” Peller said.
The content creator also clarified that Davido’s absence was not connected to any disagreement between them, dismissing speculation of a fallout with the Afrobeats star.
According to Peller, Davido remains one of his biggest supporters and treats him like a son, but his busy schedule prevented him from attending the ceremony.
“Davido treats me like his son. He was very busy; that’s why he couldn’t attend my wedding,” he said.
Peter’s absence comes amid ongoing public attention surrounding the relationship between him, his twin brother, Paul Okoye, and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, whose family and business disputes have continued to attract public interest.
Peller and Jarvis are expected to proceed with their white wedding after completing their traditional marriage rites.
