Over 50 senators gathered in Iperu, Ogun State, for the 38th Akesan Day celebration. Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, representing Senate President Godswill Akpabio, praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for his strong support of the National Assembly and his dedication to development.
Bamidele recalled how Governor Abiodun stood by them during the elections of Senate President Akpabio and House Speaker Tajudeen Abbass when many doubted their chances. He noted that the governor’s efforts have earned respect and frequent collaboration with the Senate.
Governor Abiodun’s infrastructural achievements, such as the new international airport, were highlighted. Bamidele described the governor as a hardworking democrat creating lasting legacies for Ogun State.
APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje also commended the governor’s dedication to infrastructure, including the airport and well-constructed roads, which are boosting development.
Senator Olamilekan Adeola expressed pride in the airport project, noting its potential to attract investment and increase Ogun’s revenue. Overall, dignitaries praised the governor for his impactful leadership and contributions to the state’s growth.
