In appreciation of the remarkable turnaround of the Ijebu-Ode – Itamapako -Epe road which has been in deplorable state for over 20 Years, residents as well as motorists plying the route, have lauded the unrelenting effort of the State Government in fixing the road.
Speaking with newsmen, a resident in the area, Mr Sikiru Kuku commended the State Government, noting that he was particularly delighted with the fact that the road was made accessible during the yuletide period.
According to Kuku, the construction of the road has rejuvenated economic activities in the area, thus making it possible for the movement of passengers and their goods.
In his contribution, a motorist, Lekan Okunowo, said the road is an epitome of a standard that an ideal road should portray, adding that it would be durable and could stand the test of time when completed.
Similarly, Emeka Nnandi, a commercial bus driver said the road would reduce the traffic bottlenecks and loss of man-hours hitherto experienced by travellers within Lagos and Ogun State corridor.
The 14Km Ijebuode-Epe road offers an alternative route to Ijebu-Ode- Sagamu- Lagos expressway.
