The Oyo State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment and human capital development by supporting the successful training of aspiring and practicing talent managers through the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development.
The five-day Talent Managers Development Programme, organised by Primus Media Academy in collaboration with Primus Media Foundation, brought together young professionals from across the state for intensive training aimed at equipping them with the practical skills, industry knowledge, and professional networks needed to excel in Nigeria’s rapidly expanding creative and entertainment industry. The initiative received significant backing from the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, under the leadership of Hon. Prince Adebowale Adebayo Falana, whose support underscored the State Government’s commitment to creating opportunities for young people and positioning them for sustainable careers within the creative economy.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the organizers commended the Oyo State Government for investing in the capacity development of young people through the agency.

They noted that the government’s support reflects a clear understanding of the enormous opportunities within the creative industry and demonstrates a deliberate effort to prepare youths with relevant skills that will enhance entrepreneurship, employment, and economic growth.
According to the organisers, the partnership with the Agency for Youth Development has provided participants with valuable exposure to industry best practices while strengthening the talent management profession in Oyo State.
The training featured a lineup of experienced facilitators drawn from the media, entertainment, legal, and business sectors. The programme had powerful sessions facilitated by Afouda Samuel, Rotimi Ige, Kay Adebayo, Bernard Okoma, Ojeladun Olatunde and Adebayo Abayomi and Kolade Dominate. The event also attracted notable personalities from the media and entertainment sectors, including Laolu Oni of Ibadan Connect, Hon. Sunday Oni, CEO of Broadnet Multimedia Concepts, MC Password, MC Lagbaja, ace musician, Wale Waves, Honourable Michael Ogunsina, and Ayo Emmanuel-Ojo of WellsRadio Ibadan, alongside other distinguished guests and industry stakeholders.
Participants described the programme as practical, insightful, and career-transforming, expressing appreciation to the Oyo State Government and the Agency for Youth Development for making the training possible.
The programme ended with the presentation of certificates to participants, who also became part of Ibadan talent managers network, a growing professional network designed to promote collaboration, mentorship, and career advancement within Nigeria’s creative industry.
The successful maiden edition of the Talent Managers Development Programme further highlights the Oyo State government’s commitment to empowering young people with market-relevant skills while supporting initiatives that drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic development.
