The Ogun State Governor’s Special Adviser on Public Works, Babatunde Adeshina, has announced that the state government is about to initiate the rehabilitation of 100 roads spanning its 20 local government areas. Adeshina shared this information during a radio interview where he discussed the state of the roads in Ogun State.

He underscored the government’s dedication to fairness and even-handedness, ensuring that the benefits of democracy are evenly distributed throughout the entire state. Adeshina urged the state’s residents to exercise patience with the government, noting that it’s not feasible to rehabilitate all the roads simultaneously; instead, the approach will be gradual. He explained that the Ogun State Public Works Agency is contemplating giving priority to primary roads before addressing secondary ones.

Adeshina emphasized that complex problems that have persisted for decades cannot be resolved in a single day, and he appealed for understanding, stating that while there are many roads to address, they have to start somewhere. He also mentioned that by maintaining the current pace, significant progress will be made in the next few years.
Furthermore, Adeshina disclosed the government’s commitment to completing the opposite side of every dual carriageway that has already undergone construction throughout the state.
