The government of Ogun State in collaboration with a private firm, Momas Metering School has begun a two-week training for unemployed youths in the State, to ensure a seamless metering process that will allow customers to register and be metered the same day.
Prince Lekan Olude, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Job Creation and Youth Empowerment made this revealation at his office in Abeokuta. According to him the training was for University & Polythechnique gradutes of Electrical Engineering. The would be luck trainees will be selected from the State Jobs portal.
Olude noted that the training would complement the Federal Government’s National Mass Metering Programme (NMMP), for distribution of six million free prepaid meters to the people, to ease estimated billings.
He said on completion, certificates would be awarded to participants and be provided with kits containing relevant tools for meter installation while engaging them in the execution of the national metering project.
