The developments were announced by Executive Secretary of the National Agency for Agricultural Land Development (NALDA) Paul Icone as he led the government to the governor’s office in Abeokuta on Wednesday.
Mr Ikonne said Ogun would benefit from integrated farming, Garri’s packaging plant, a soil testing training program and consulting services for 200 young graduates with science and agriculture degrees.

Under the president’s policies on land testing and extension services, Ikonne said they were training Nigerian youth and that Ogun was expected to nominate 200 people in the first round.
“Ogun is one of the states in the pilot phase of this program. “We will nominate young graduates who have completed agricultural or scientific degrees and will complete intensive training for two weeks,” he said.
The official then explained that the NALDA state government candidates would be equipped with soil testing kits and tools to collect soil samples after training and that they would start making money for themselves and making a living from the program.
Mr Ikonne announced that NALDA will not relax and monitor how the country increases the value of agriculture itself and that they will also soon activate 700 hectares of land in Joga-Orile in the hope of reactivating the country’s status in terms of food production. will improve.
