Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved a 500 million take-off grant for the state’s Health Insurance Scheme.
The state Governor made this known during the presentation of the 2021 fiscal budget at the floor of the State House of Assembly, Oke – Mosan, Abeokuta.
He said the strategy was adopted by the administration to further enable every citizen of the State access quality and affordable health care services without any delay.
The Governor affirmed that basic health care fund is universal, especially in the advanced part of the world, as a means by which the government takes care of the citizens in a more affordable manner.
According to him, quality and affordable healthcare services to the people remains paramount to his administration.
In his words, ” Providing an affordable quality healthcare services to our people in the State remains paramount to our administration and I just approved commencement of Basic Health Insurance Scheme in the State with N500 million, as take-off grants for all, in the interest of the good people of the State, to access quality and affordable healthcare services and to further strengthen our healthcare system for our general wellbeing”.
