The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, MNIPR, has been honoured with the Outstanding Old Boy Award by the Alumni Association of Ijebu-Ode Grammar School (IJOGS).
The award was presented on Saturday during the school’s 113th Founders’ Day celebration held at the school playground in Ijebu-Ode. It recognised Onasanya’s outstanding record in public service and his exemplary personal qualities.
Organisers described Onasanya as one of the school’s distinguished alumni whose achievements have made positive impact at the local, national, and international levels, reflecting the school’s long-standing values of discipline, dedication, and integrity.
The award was presented by Senator Olorunimbe Mamowora, a former senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District from 2003 to 2011 and former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly between 1999 and 2003.
Speaking at the event, which was themed “Non Nobis Domine: 113 Years of Purpose, Pride and Progress,”Onasanya expressed appreciation to the alumni association for the honour.
He said the institution had produced many individuals who have contributed meaningfully to society, and paid tribute to the school’s founding fathers for their vision, sacrifice, and commitment to excellence. He added that the values of discipline, dedication, and integrity instilled by the school continue to guide its alumni.
Onasanya noted that the award would serve as motivation to continue striving for greater achievements.
