Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of renowned businesswoman and socialite, Mrs. Adebisi Edionseri, describing her passing as a great loss to Ogun State and Nigeria.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Lekan Adeniran, shared this in a statement issued on Monday in Abeokuta. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Mrs. Edionseri passed away on Sunday at the age of 89.
Governor Abiodun commended Mrs. Edionseri’s contributions to Ogun State, describing her as a source of inspiration and a role model for many. He noted that she was a successful entrepreneur and social figure who made a lasting impact that spanned generations since the 1970s.
The governor highlighted her early achievements, emphasizing her resilience and ambition, which had inspired people in Ogun State and beyond. He prayed for God to grant her family the strength to cope with the loss.
“Alhaja Adebisi’s contributions to the business community and her vibrant social presence will be reference points for generations yet unborn. Her influence extended far and wide, making her a cherished figure in the hearts of many,” the governor stated.
