Actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji has congratulated Ogun State on its 50th anniversary, praising its culture and progress.
Adedimeji, a Prince of Agura Kingdom in Abeokuta, said Ogun State shows the spirit of excellence and is a gateway to Nigeria and Africa.
He wrote, “Ogun State at 50 shows a rich mix of heritage, culture, and progress. As a Prince of Agura Kingdom in Abeokuta, I am proud of my roots and the culture that brings people together and inspires development. My education in one of Ogun’s top schools has also prepared me to contribute to this legacy.”
On Instagram, he said he is proud to play important roles in films like AYINLA and LISABI, which tell the stories of Ogun’s legendary figures. He added that these stories help share and honor the state’s identity.
Adedimeji also praised Governor Dapo Abiodun’s leadership and expressed hope for more growth in Ogun State. “Congratulations to all proud sons and daughters of Ogun, and to our Governor, Dapo Abiodun. We look forward to a future of continued growth and greatness for our state,” he said.
