On Monday, the Ogun House of Assembly conducted screening for three additional commissioner nominees nominated by Governor Dapo Abiodun. The Speaker, Mr. Olakunle Oluomo, presided over the screening, which took place at the assembly complex in Abeokuta.

The three commissioner-nominees who underwent the screening process were:
- Mr. Olatunji Odunlami, a former Commissioner in the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
- Mr. Wasiu Isiaka, a former Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Ogun Internally Generated Revenue.
- Mrs. Funmi Efuwape, the immediate past Commissioner in the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
Previously, the state legislature had screened and confirmed 17 other commissioner nominees who are yet to be sworn in by the governor.
During the screening, Speaker Olakunle Oluomo encouraged the nominees to uphold a commitment to delivering high-quality public service and to avoid actions that could hinder the progress and development of the state if they are confirmed.
Members of the assembly, in their remarks, advised the nominees to focus on devising plans and programs that would positively impact the people of the state. They also urged the nominees to work diligently to ensure that the benefits of democracy are effectively delivered across the state.
In response, the nominees expressed their commitment to building upon their previous achievements during their first term in office if they are confirmed. They pledged to collaborate with the state legislature and other relevant stakeholders to implement policies and programs aimed at the development of the state.
