Citizens of Yewaland have been assured that Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration would deliver on his electoral promises, for people to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun gave the assurance during the celebration of this year’s annual Oronna festival with the theme ‘Festival of Grace’ in Ilaro, pointing out that his government would be just and fair in the distribution of developmental projects across the State.
Abiodun who was represented by his Deputy, Engr. Naimot Salako -Oyedele said, “the Governor is committed to equity and fair distribution of developmental projects across the State. We are assuring you that we will continue to work hard and deliver on our promises for the betterment of the State”.
The Governor, while congratulating the people of the area on the celebration of the event, promised that his administration would continue to give adequate support to the annual cultural festival.
In his address, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle appreciated God and the State Governor for the celebration despite the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, calling on people of the area to continue to give adequate support to the present administration in the State.
Earlier in his goodwill message, the State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Emmanuel Taiwo described the annual festival as a cultural event primarily designed to preserve, uphold and celebrate the rich cultural tradition of Ilaro and its environs, pointing out that the State Government through the Ministry was making concerted efforts to preserve and promote its cultural heritage, through regular documentation, policy implementation and promotion of festivals.
