A newly established group, Oliver Circle of Nigeria has stressed for improved collaboration between government and the private sector to fast track socio-economic development of the country.
The pioneer President of the group, Chief Fassy Yusuf made the call in a statement ahead of the investiture of new executive members led by Prince Rasaq Kunle Qadri scheduled for this weekend in Ogun State.
Chief Fassy said in furtherance of ensuring that the vision of the founding father is realized the body has been engaged majorly in philanthropic activities by reaching out to indigent students and providing some basic infrastructure for the people of Ogun state.
He further stated in the statement that Nigerians particularly those in need stand to benefit more if the government and the private sector devote more resources to the basic needs of the people including health, good road network, shelter, and education.
Among the Guests invited to grace the occasion include; the Olor`ogun, (Dr.) Sonny F.KuKu and Kabiyesi Alaiyeluwa Oba Y. O. Adekoya.
Otunba Jimi Lawal, who is the Special Guest of Honour will deliver a lecture on Community Development and Mobilization.
