Matheus Nunes, a midfielder for Sporting CP, has officially signed with Wolves.
A huge talent, the 23-year-old is sought after by scouts all around Europe.
The Premier League team beat off West Ham United and other competitors to acquire his signing.
Wolves chairman Jeff Shi said the club’s official website, “We are delighted to add another bright young talent to Bruno’s squad and are glad to welcome Matheus to Wolverhampton.”
“We are thrilled that Matheus has chosen the Premier League and Wolves as the next step in what we hope will be a fantastic career,” said Wolves. “Matheus has had two excellent seasons at the top level in Portugal with Sporting and is widely regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in world football.”
When Sporting won the Portuguese league in 2020–2021, Nunes managed 31 appearances for them. He was also impressive in 2021–2022.
