The murderers of Kehinde and Bukola Fatinoye, according to the governor of Ogun State, will not escape justice
The state’s police commissioner, Lanre Bankole, has been given specific instructions by the governor, according to the governor, to guarantee that the criminals are apprehended.
Kehinde and Bukola were discovered dead at their home in the state capital of Abeokuta’s Ibara government reservation area (GRA) on January 1.
According to reports, the event happened immediately after the couple, who were, respectively, former employees of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), returned from a church service to ring in the new year.
Oreoluwa, the couple’s son, and a maid were reportedly kidnapped, and the couple’s home was also set on fire.
The couple’s charred remains were later buried after being burned beyond recognition.
The body of Oreoluwa was discovered floating in a river on Tuesday in Abeokuta along the Adigbe-Obada route.

The governor of Ogun expressed sympathy to the bereaved families for the “unfortunate and terrible” occurrence.
Abiodun was cited as stating, “My heart goes out to the families of Kehinde and Bukola Fatinoye,” by his principal press secretary, Kunle Somorin.
“The situation really stunned me; it was awful and unfortunate. At this time, when everyone is still enjoying in the pleasure of the New Year, I can only fathom the suffering the families must be through.
“There is no doubt that this crime is grave. I have instructed the police commissioner to make sure that everything is done to apprehend those responsible for the heinous conduct.
“I can tell you that the offenders will face consequences. It is unacceptable for those involved for such a horrifying crime to escape the full force of the law.
Although our administration has already improved the state’s security infrastructure, we will keep giving the security agencies logistical support in order to make our state the safest place to live, work, and play.
