Liverpool manager Arne Slot says he is not worried about his job, despite growing pressure after his team’s heavy 4–1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The loss marks Liverpool’s ninth defeat in their last 12 games across all competitions, deepening the crisis for the defending Premier League champions as form, confidence, and consistency continue to decline.
Speaking after the match, Slot admitted the team is going through a difficult period but stressed that he is not focused on speculation about his future.

“I’m not worried. My focus is on other things, not on my own position. I know I need to do better,” he said.
Slot added that he remains in regular contact with the club’s leadership.
“I speak to the Liverpool hierarchy — we have our conversations — but they don’t call me every minute to say they trust me. We talk normally, and I feel their support. I haven’t spoken to them since this game, so we’ll see,” he added.
The Dutch coach described the defeat as surprising, given the quality of the squad.
“This is very unexpected when you look at the quality we have,” he said. “Is it a lack of confidence? I didn’t see that in the first half. It’s not the mentality these players have shown since I arrived.”
Slot, who took charge in the summer as Jürgen Klopp’s successor, now faces the toughest stretch of his Liverpool reign, with the club struggling both in the Premier League and in Europe.
