As Muslims worldwide commence their fasting during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State extends his greetings to the Muslim community in the state for witnessing another season of mercy and forgiveness. In a statement released on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, the Governor acknowledges that Ramadan is one of the most sacred months in the Islamic/Hijra calendar, a time when Allah’s doors of mercy are open. He encourages Muslims to take advantage of this opportunity to partake in the month’s virtues.
The Governor highlights that Ramadan signifies a time to increase good deeds and improve spiritual activities for Allah’s pleasure, urging adherents of Islam in the state to spread kindness and love to the less fortunate. He also calls on Muslims to fervently pray for peace, progress, and unity in the country during this political transition.
Governor Abiodun assures that his administration will continue to ensure Ogun is a safe haven for residents and investors, and he urges Muslims in the state to always remember Ogun in their prayers. He promises that his second term will usher in more democratic and good governance opportunities for the people.
