Nigerian Aforbeats singer David Adeleke Adedeji, popularly known as Davido, has announced the release of a new single titled ‘I Know Who I Be’, marking his return to solo music after a period of reduced individual releases.
The track features Jazzwrld and GL_Ceejay and is scheduled for release on June 26.
He shared the announcement on his X account on Monday. In his post, he told fans that “the journey to the throne begins” as he revealed details of the upcoming release.
He also wrote: “My next single I Know Who I Be releases June 26th,” alongside promotional images for the project.
The announcement has drawn reactions from fans, especially after the singer said in May that he would be taking a short break from music.

Before this release, Davido’s last solo track was ‘Be There Still’, which came out in March 2025. He also recently featured on TxC’s song, Nakupenda.
Davido rose to prominence in 2012 with the hit ‘Dami Duro’ and later established DMW, a record label that has signed and developed several artists.
The new single follows his recent performance at the opening concert of the 2026 FIFA World Cup countdown event in Los Angeles, adding to his international appearances.
Over the years, Davido has released multiple projects, including Omo Baba Olowo, A Good Time, A Better Time, and Timeless, becoming one of the key figures in Afrobeats globally.
