President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mandate Secretaries for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
The appointment of the mandate secretaries was announced by the Director of Press, Office of the Minister of the FCT, Anthony Ogunleye, in a statement on Tuesday.
Ogunleye said the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed mandate secretaries would be held on Tuesday, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, noting that the appointees and their guests are expected to be seated by 11:30 am.
- On the occasion of his 100 days in office, President Bola Tinubu has once again made eight new appointments.
- The president has reportedly given his approval for the appointment of mandate secretaries within the FCT administration.
- These appointments cover various roles, from the Secretary of the Area Council Services Secretariat to the Secretary of the Social Development Secretariat.
Aso Villa, Abuja – President Bola Tinubu has put happiness in some people’s faces as he approved the appointment of mandate secretaries of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA). This was disclosed in a statement tweeted by the office of the Presidency on Tuesday, September 5.
President Tinubu made the appointment on the exact day it became 100 days that he resumed the president’s office.
The development was also disclosed about 24 hours later that President Tinubu travelled to New Delhi in India to attend the G-20 leaders’ summit on the invitation of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

- Bitrus L. Garki – Secretary, Area Council Services Secretariat
- Lawan Kolo Geidam – Secretary, Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat
- Danlami Ihayyo – Secretary, Education
- Adedolapo A. Fasawe – Secretary, Health and Human Services Secretariat
- Salman Dako – Secretary, Legal Services Secretariat
- Chinedum Elechi – Secretary, Economic Planning, Revenue Generation and PPP
- Uboku Tom Nyah – Secretary, Transportation Secretariat
- Muntari Abdulkadir – Secretary, Social Development Secretariat
