The People’s Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is set to discuss the issue surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s academic records, recently disclosed by Chicago State University (CSU), in a press conference scheduled for today.
An official statement accompanying the press conference invitation states, “We would like to inform and invite you to the World Press Conference of our Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, GCON, at the Yar’Adua Centre, tomorrow, Thursday 5, October 2023, in the afternoon.
It is noteworthy that Atiku obtained Tinubu’s educational records from CSU through a court subpoena, countering the President’s disclosure. The released records, initially on October 3 and a deposition on Tuesday, reveal disparities between Tinubu’s 1979 CSU certificate submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the samples of certificates the University issued to students in the same year.
Under oath, the CSU Registrar stated his inability to authenticate the certificate Tinubu presented to INEC.
Atiku has maintained silence since the documents were released.”
