The APC Candidate Tokunbo Abiru has won the Lagos East Senatorial bye-election held on Saturday, 5th December.
The Independent Electoral Commission, INEC declare Abiru winner with 89,204 votes while his closest challenger, PDP candidate Babatunde Gbadamosi got 11,257 votes.
The Bye-election for the Lagos east senatorial district was conducted to replace the vacant seat created by the demise of senator Adebayo Osinowo (Pepperito)who died June this year.

Tokunbo Abiru was the Group MD/CEO of Polaris Bank Nigeria until 31 August 2020.
