Security operatives have allegedly initiated a manhunt in the southeast for an unidentified young guy who has vowed to kill Atiku and Tinubu supporters.
In a popular social media video, the young guy advised anyone who would not vote for Peter Obi to avoid voting stations in the area.
According to a security source who verified the manhunt, the young man is suspected of being an IPOB militant.
Security officers have initiated a manhunt for a man who vowed to murder everyone who voted for Atiku Abubakar (PDP) and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (APC) in the 2023 presidential election in the southeast. In a popular social media video, the young guy, pictured with what seemed to be a locally produced crude pistol, told supporters of the APC and PDP presidential candidates not to vote if they “love their lives.”
He corked the revolver to show it wasn’t a toy, and he advised people who wouldn’t vote for Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate and former governor of Anambra state, to stay away from polling stations.
However, according to PR Nigeria, citing an unknown security source, the young man would be detained shortly for the dangerous threats.
Meanwhile, Peter Obi has asked his supporters to allow him to respond to any candidate who speaks about him. In a tweet on Monday, July 25, Obi asked his supporters to concentrate on promoting their vision of making Nigeria a better country.
