The late veteran actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, will be buried on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State.
His burial arrangements were announced in a WhatsApp message reportedly signed by the Chief Imam of Ilaro, stating that the Janazah prayer would take place at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground.
The message reads:
“The Ilaro Muslim Community wishes to announce the burial of our beloved brother, Alhaji Hassan Taiwo (Ogogo).
“Burial prayer at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground, Ilaro.”
Meanwhile, the Ogun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, has expressed sadness over the death of the actor.
In a condolence message to the family of the late actor, the senator said Hassan, popularly called Ogogo by fans, was a great loss to the creative and entertainment industry, stressing that his death was also a loss to his family, Ogun State and Nigeria.

“I am greatly saddened by the death of a brother who believed in and worked assiduously for my cause and the cause of our people. I sympathise with his immediate family for their efforts and struggles to keep the dearly departed alive following his illness. God knows best in all circumstances,” the senator stated.
Senator Adeola said the late actor’s role in the drive for a better society through filmmaking and other forms of positive advocacy would always be remembered, adding that he left a legacy worthy of emulation.
The senator promised to continue supporting the immediate family in their hour of need, adding that the good deeds of the family’s patriarch to society would not be forgotten.
Senator Adeola prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the thespian and for the immediate family to have the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of their loved one.
