Representatives of the Ogun State Government participating in the 2023 International Arts and Crafts (INAC) Expo are confident that the State’s contingents will exceed expectations. Ogun State is renowned for its vibrant celebration of cultural heritage, and they believe this tradition will continue to shine.
During the opening of the event in Abuja, themed “Networking Nigerian Arts and Crafts To The World,” Hon. Prince Segun Kaka, Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Culture, and Tourism in the State, emphasized Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun’s deep appreciation for socio-cultural heritage celebrations. The Governor’s unwavering support for the culture sector has earned the State numerous accolades over the past five years. Kaka highlighted Ogun State’s cultural orientation and its ability to sustain its position as a leader in cultural events like the INAC Expo.
He praised Governor Abiodun for his sentiment towards socio-cultural celebrations, underscoring the importance of events like INAC in fostering social interactions, sharing experiences, and driving economic development for both the State and the nation. He encouraged the State’s contingents to maintain their winning spirit and continue representing Ogun State with excellence.
Mrs. Oluwatosin Oloko, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, expressed gratitude to Governor Abiodun for enabling the Ministry’s participation in the event. She described the Governor as a cultural ambassador who is passionate about promoting cultural heritage and festivals. Oloko attributed Ogun State’s prominence in culture and tourism to the State government’s support and the Ministry’s commitment to global trends in the sector.
