Alhaji Olatunde Awonuga of Ogun Waterside Local Government was also introduced as Otegbeye’s running mate by the group.
On Monday, Otegbeye and his running mate were unveiled at a meeting held at the former governor’s Ibara residence.
According to the DAILY POST, Amosun was present at the unveiling, along with other All Progressives Congress faction members (APC).

In 2019, Otegbeye ran for the APC House of Representatives seat in Yewa South and Ipokia Federal Constituency.
He had defected from the Amosun camp to join the Prince Dapo Abiodun group for the APC ticket, rejecting the APM ticket offered to him by the then-governor.
Before the 2023 elections, Otegbeye rejoined the Amosun camp and was given the APC ticket.
After losing the primary election to Gov. Abiodun, the legal practitioner went to court.
As he left the APC to pursue his ambitions through the ADC, Otegbeye withdrew his case against Abiodun, and the court dismissed the suit.
According to the DAILY POST, the APC in Ogun is split between Abiodun and Amosun factions.
The two factions held parallel ward, local government, and state conventions, but the party’s national leadership recognized the Abiodun faction.
