Twenty outstanding students out of a pool of 420 participants in an examination hosted by the House of Emmanuels foundation in Abeokuta, Ogun State, have been granted scholarships. These scholarships encompass all their educational needs, including school uniforms, bags, and materials essential for their senior secondary school education and the West African Examination Council (WAEC) exams.
Oluwasegun Emmanuel, the founder of the foundation, underlined that this act underscores the foundation’s dedication to advancing education, financial literacy, and vocational training to promote community development.
“We have a distinct mission and purpose at the House of Emmanuels. We strongly believe in empowerment, education, financial literacy, well-being, and various other aspects,” Emmanuel stated.

He also mentioned, “Out of the 420 students who took part in the examination, we selected the top 20. We will cover all their expenses, from school uniforms and bags to all the necessities from SSS1 through the West Africa Senior School Examination and Council (WASSCE) period. The highest-achieving student will also receive a special award.”
Additionally, during the event, Motunrayo Adijat-Adeleye, the president of the Rotary Club of Abeokuta, emphasized the importance of supporting brilliant students whose parents face challenges in paying their school fees. She urged the scholarship recipients to remain diligent and committed, fostering a culture of excellence that would motivate sponsors to continue their support.
