Two Members of a robbery gang have been arrested by Ogun state Police command who allegedly specialised in snatching motorcycles in Sango-Ota, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state.
The press statement relaseased on Thursday by the Police Public Relation Officcier, DSP, Abimbola Oyeyemi.
Abiodun Ogundele, 23, and Opeyemi Olatubosun, 22 are the names of the suspect arested, Oyeyemi stated.
He said they were arrested after an emergency call was received at around 8pm at Sango Police Headquarters that a motorcyclist Adesoji David had been attacked by rioters in the yoju area of Sango-Ota.
Oyeyemi said: “After the emergency call, Sango-Ota’s data protection officer, CSP Godwin Idehai, immediately deployed his staff and moved to the scene.
“After seeing the police in the area, the suspects who had packed their Bajaj motorbike made the flight but were chased down and two of them were arrested and the other one escaped.

“They found handmade pistols, live cartridges, one expanded cartridges and the stolen motorcycle.”
The PPRO said the Police Commissioner, Eduard Ajogun had ordered the suspects to be immediately transferred to the state intelligence and crime department for a further investigation.
The Police commissioner (CP) also ordered that the remaining gang members who escaped should be tracked and brought to justice as soon as possible,” Oyeyemi added.
