The Ogun State government has announced that the environmental sanitation exercise scheduled for this month will not take place in order to allow citizens to celebrate Christmas, which overlaps with the exercise scheduled for December 25.
Rasaq Olabode Ojetola, the Permanent Secretary of the Ogun State Ministry of Environment, made the announcement.
The Ministry, on the other hand, recommends citizens to celebrate in a clean and orderly environment, as well as to give their garbage, which is likely to be greater due to the festive season, to private sector participants designated to their areas for proper disposal.
According to the statement, all government garbage disposal vehicles and equipment would be deployed throughout the state to create a cleaner and safer environment.
