This morning, L’Équipe reported that Corentin Tolisso was planning to return to Lyon. The move will be finalized when the French midfielder signs a five-year contract with his old team.
As the club looks to rebuild around individuals who know the club well after a dismal season, Tolisso, the most recent player from Lyon to return to the club this summer following Alexandre Lacazette from Arsenal, left Bayern Munich at the end of his contract.
Despite Lyon’s persistent interest, the World Cup champion had up to this point sought a deal with a Champions League club in order to join the French national squad.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Corentin Tolisso to Olympique Lyon on a free transfer, done deal – here we go. Full agreement confirmed as expected on the personal terms.
